Fire Agate is a variant of chalcedony and may be white, gray, blue, reddish and various shades of brown with narrow bands in different colors. Depending on the color bands and distinguishes between different variants such as: blue lace agate , Booma goes , Botswana agate , moss agate , turitella agate and fire agate . The stone is slightly translucent and has a matte to satin.This stone is symbolic of health and long life. The stone is said to receive its name from Theophrastus, a Greek philosopher and naturalist, who discovered the stone along the shore line of the River Achates. Agate is the birthstone of those born in the month of May and September. Agate is suitable for those with the Zodiac Signs of Aries, Leo, Virgo, Capricorn, Gemini and Cancer

Nephrite consists of a microcrystaline interlocking fibrous matrix of the calcium, magnesium-iron rich amphibole mineral series tremolite (calcium-magnesium)-ferroactinolite (calcium-magnesium-iron). The middle member of this series with an intermediate composition is called actinolite (the silky fibrous mineral form is one form of asbestos). The higher the iron content the greener the colour. In ancient Egypt, jade was admired as the stone of love, inner peace, harmony and balance. In other regions and cultures too, jade was regarded as a lucky or protective stone; yet it had nowhere near the significance that it had in Asia, which was presumably due to the fact that people knew relatively little about this fascinating gem.
